D&C FILM EMERGING FILM FUND 2026

Exeter Phoenix have partnered with D&C Film to offer one Devon or Cornwall based filmmaker access to £800 in cash funding and £1500 of in kind support to support the production of a short film of any genre, which is up to 7 minutes in length.

Four of the best ideas will be invited to pitch their film at Two Short Nights Film Festival on Thursday 5th March 2026 at a Live Pitch Event, to win the chance to turn their ideas into a short film.

Who can apply?

D&C Film Emerging Filmmaker Fund is open to:

• Individuals who have a permanent address Devon or Cornwall. Applicants must be able to prove their address.

• Applicants must be 18 or over when applying.

• The D&C Film Emerging Filmmaker Fund is aimed at early career filmmakers and those with limited experience in short filmmaking who are looking to develop their skills and experience. Writers, producers, directors, with a variety of experience are also encouraged but it is not essential to be specialised at this stage.
